Giant Squids have always attracted the attention of scientists as they are still unknown to some extent. With the carcasses found scientists could study their features, characteristics and anatomical structure.

Scientists have come out with the most amazing facts that are enough to make everyone one of us startled and accept that giant squids are intelligent. These enormous size sea monsters are highly adaptable in the sea. These carnivorous mollusks with torpedo shaped body have long and powerful tentacles, colorful skin and smartness that make them fearsome hunters.

No one had ever imagined that their lies a remarkable intelligent creatures breeding deep into cold black waters. The one with strange anatomical characteristics like three hearts, blue blood, significantly large eyes, a very large brain and well developed nervous system.
 
 
This well developed nervous system and complex brain suggest they are among the smartest creatures on the earth. A new study about giant squid has revealed that they are the intelligent invertebrate with the ability of learning the complex behavior at a very young age.

The new born learn through trial and error method similar to what humans do, and the early experiences of their life can make permanent physical changes in the squid’s nervous system. Being a mollusk and closely related to clam still it shows a range of behavioral patterns with brain as complicated as mammals.

This makes them highly intelligent, that reflects in their hunting. It has been observed; they make use of cooperative hunting techniques and do not lose an opportunity to attack something which they sense it as their prey.
