After so many years scientists have now observed giant squid in their natural habitat. But there are still many important aspects that are still to be known and discovered like where do they live?
Since scientists have never observed giant squid alive in their natural habitat, but the carcasses that have been washed up on the beaches or caught in the fishermen’s net make us believe that they are found in all the oceans of the world. Knowing about giant squid has been the most daunting tasks and it still remains an unsolved mystery.
They are thought to be the deep sea creatures and are presumed to be living 660 to 2300 feet or 200 to 700 meters below the water surface in most of the world’s ocean and near sperm whales but Scientists could not trace where exactly they live in the sea. They are using advanced fishing techniques and larger trawls to probe into the life of giant squids. The days are not far when it will be possible to explore every aspect of giant squid.
